| The Harz Mountains, a panoramic range of conifer-covered hills and picturesque half-timbered towns, are the perfect setting for the region's traditional Christmas Markets. For our holiday base we have chosen the former imperial city of Goslar, with included visits to the Christmas Markets in the World Heritage town of Quedlinburg and colourful Wernigerode. |

Into Germany, calling at Kassel to shop in the Christmas Market. We continue to Goslar in the Harz Mountains for our four night stay. (B,D) |
