| DAY 1 We arrive in Amiens for three nights. DAY 2 Amiens (included) Spend the day in this lovely city, with its superb Cathedral. The colourful Christmas market, the largest in northern France, is situated along Rue des Trois Cailloux and has over 100 chalets offering all types of Christmas goodies and fayre. B DAY 3 Rouen (included) It was in Rouen that Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake by the English in 1431 and the city is rich in reminders of its medieval times. Explore the superb old town area lined with half-timbered buildings and dotted with fine restaurants and eateries. The Place de la Cathedrale is the annual venue for the Christmas market, where we will find local delicacies as well as goods from further afield. Sample the waffles and pancakes, buy some presents, and perhaps take back a treat of some local Calvados (apple brandy) and cider. B DAY 4 Homeward bound via Calais. B Included Meals: B=Breakfast |
